SAME PROVEN HISTORY, NEW CAPABILITY.
IrvinGQ® is offering the latest evolution of PRIBAD.
Developed from the PRIBAD21, (21 feet) platform, utilising substantially the same operational and maintenance procedures.
Product introduction
The original MCADS platforms entered service in the mid-1980s and a number of enhanced systems were designed to meet customers evolving needs. The PRIBAD21 platform has been in service for over two decades, operating in a range of theatres, without equipment failure or loss.
Aircraft compatibility
PRIBAD will provide full interoperability with:
C-17
C-130J
A400M
Allied nations’ equipment
developed from the
pribad
PRIBAD, developed from PRIBAD21, features increased margins in terms of size and weight to meet the needs of larger boat platforms.
This will simplify integration with the new generation of boats and provide far greater scope for increasing the mass and capability going forward.
Depending on the nature of the airdrop mission, the platform can be rigged to float (training mode) or sink without a trace (operational mode). Even rapid conversion from a training to an operational mode is achievable with appropriately trained airdrop riggers.
Familiar with user community within NATO Nations
Commonality with existing platforms leads
User refurbished, robust, and proven capability
A design, for now and the future

The PRIBAD platform has been in service for over two decades operating in a range of theatres, without equipment failure or loss and is currently in service with many nations.
MCADS
The original MCADS platforms entered service in the mid-1980s and a number of enhanced systems were designed to meet customers evolving needs.
The PRIBAD21 platform has been in service for over two decades, operating in a range of theatres, without equipment failure or loss.
MCADS consist of four major group sets: platform, extraction, descent and ancillaries.
JAWS
JAWS is a complete Extraction Component Group, providing safe, reliable extraction of heavy payloads from the aircraft and deployment of the main canopies.
The full functionality and capability of legacy systems is maintained whilst entirely removing the industry recognised Single Points of Failure, and reliance on pyrotechnics and electronics.
WISAD®
WISAD® (Mk2) is wholly re-serviced post drop by the user, reducing cost and time.
With IrvinGQ®’s water initiated WISAD® (Mk2) market leading disconnect solution containing no explosive content, marine airdrops in surface winds of up to 30 knots are possible.
